I live in latrobe
pa 15650 I wan’t to biuld a ev drag car ,Ive picked a mazda miata to start but I cant find info on how to biuld one ,would like to keep cost down like poormans 64 chevy EV thinking of using 2 speed power glide and forklift dc motor, I have a gas v8 drag car now and the drag strip is 5 miles from my house, there is no ev drag car’s in my state,would like to go 12 sec. with a 1500 lbs car,

Going faster is always a worthy cause. Driving a sub 12 second quarter mile in EV Mode is a great goal! One place I might use as a resource is http://www.calcars.org . This site is a great place to source information on Electric Vehicles. Not sure if you will find racers like yourself, but maybe create some interest. Good luck and keep us all posted.
